Mitsumata Art Paper is made in the Ehime prefecture of Japan. Mitsumata is a strong, smooth, warm-toned paper made primarily from the short-fibered mitsumata plant, prized for its insect-repellant properties. Historically used for currency. One side of the paper is smooth and the other side is slightly rough. Create on the smooth side for best results.

Uses: Sumi-e, gansai, watercolor, ink printing, calligraphy, rubbing, drawing, printmaking, gel printing, collage, and mixed media
