6GAM – Gampi Paper 9 1/2″ x 10 3/4″ – 10 Sheets

Gampi Art Paper is made in the Ehime prefecture of Japan. Gampi is a silky smooth long-lasting paper made of fibers from the gampi bush. One side of the paper is smooth and the other side is slightly rough. Create on the smooth side for best results. Not sized, but has natural features that make it perform like it is sized.

Mashi is fused with Hosho paper to create a thick, sturdy, two-layered paper that does not wrinkle or bleed through.

Mashi Hosho is made in Echizen, located within the Fukui prefecture in Japan. Smooth Mashi is fused with sturdy Hosho on the back side, producing a thick, sturdy paper that accepts mediums beautifully on both sides. This paper does not wrinkle or bleed through. Unbleached. Sized to allow for fine detail in ink and color. Not acid-free. Excellent for card stock.

Gasen is a very resilient pulp-based paper, lightly sized to allow finer detail for ink painting, watercolor, Suminagashi (Japanese marbling), calligraphy, block printing, momigami (Japanese kneaded paper)

Torinoko paper is made in the Echizen district of Japan. Echizen is known for producing authentic, high-quality Japanese paper. Torinoko is a very sturdy pulp-based paper, lightly sized to allow for finer detail in ink painting, watercolor, cyanotype, Chigiri-e (Japanese collage), and printmaking. Torinoko art paper holds up to watercolor washes with minimal wrinkling.
